Portfolio: Charter Club

My design journey at Macy’s began with in-house brand Style & Co., where I joined as an Assistant Designer eager to learn everything I could about building beautiful, commercial textile collections. Through curiosity, collaboration, and a love for creating designs that resonated with real women, I quickly moved into an Associate Designer role.

When the opportunity presented itself, I was promoted to Senior CAD Designer, overseeing the entire Charter & Co. brand. Leading the brand’s creative vision was an incredible experience that strengthened my ability to balance artistry, business goals, and brand storytelling. Macy’s entrusted me with guiding the brand’s evolution: updating artwork, color, and textile direction to bring a more modern, generationally refreshed point of view.

SEASONAL COLOR & TREND DEVELOPMENT

Building seasonal color and trend stories was one of the most inspiring parts of my role. Each season began with research and intuition, mixed with market trends, pulling threads from runway, art, and culture, and weaving them into a cohesive palette that spoke to the brand’s voice. I loved translating broad trend concepts into something approachable and distinctly ours. Whether it was a washed pastel story grounded in sun-faded denim or a rich, autumnal palette inspired by vintage scarves, color was always the emotional foundation. It set the tone for print, texture, and silhouette-quietly shaping how each collection came to life.

Classics Reimagined

As the Senior CAD Designer for Charter Club, I led a talented team of artists in reimagining the brand’s signature prints and color stories each season (13+ seasonal deliveries per year). Together, we evolved classic motifs-florals, paisleys, and stripes-through thoughtful palette updates, modernized scale, and elevated coordination. I collaborated closely with cross-functional partners in merchandising, sourcing, and production to ensure design integrity carried through every stage, from concept to in-store execution. Guiding both the creative vision and the approval process, I worked to balance brand heritage with fresh relevance, keeping Charter Club’s aesthetic timeless yet continually renewed.

timeless TEXTILES

Developing artwork for this classic American brand meant curating and evolving prints that felt both familiar and fresh. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s archival patterns and heritage sensibility, I reimagined prints and surface graphics with updated color stories, scale, and placement. The goal was always to honor tradition while creating pieces that felt beautifully relevant to today’s woman.
